NFC Weekly Service – Every Sunday at 10:30am
There are no prerequisites to attend our church! Whether you are reborn as a child of Christ or seeking truth or purpose for your life you are welcome in our doors. We understand it can be intimidating visiting a new church. For that reason we try to make the process as comfortable as possible. If you have any questions or would like to speak or meet with our pastoral staff prior to attending our church please contact us today.
Join us at Connection Central in our church lobby before or after Sunday service to learn more about our church.
What To Expect
Upon entering our doors you will be greeted and handed an outline of the current sermon series. The outline will also include current events and causes going on at our church as well as the basic contact information for our church. Upon entering our lobby you can help yourself to fresh coffee. You are free to converse with church visitors if you wish or continue on to your seat. You’ll see people of all ages in our church. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself talking to an 8 year old, a 20-something, a 50-something, and a 70-something all in one morning.
Neighborhood Friends Church has a team of musicians with a sole intention of helping people encounter Jesus. Every service starts with us singing songs of praise led by our worship team. The worship leader will guide you through the service and let you know when to stand up or sit down. We have different groups that take turns leading music. The songs we sing range from contemporary to old hymns.
Each week the message from Pastor Donnie Hinshaw and the Neighborhood Friends Church pastors lead us toward experiencing Jesus together. Typically, we'll look at a passage in the Bible, and the speaker will explain its meaning and apply it to today’s culture and our lives. The sermons are usually 45 minutes.
You’ll notice that we pray throughout the service. We believe that God knows us and wants us to be in a relationship, communicating with Him. You don’t need to know any words or creeds before coming to church. Someone will lead the prayers and you can pray along or just listen. Do you have stuff going on in your life that you want prayer for? After the services, there are people who would love to hear what’s going on and pray with you.
God has designed us to be His family; living in relationship with Him and each other. All who come to Neighborhood Friends Church should have the opportunity to form Christ-centered relationships without having to search far and wide for them. This happens on Sundays and throughout the week in our life groups where we gather for meals or coffee together and study Scripture. If you would like to join a group or meet with someone please contact us, visit our lifegroups page, or view our calendar to check out upcoming events at our church or in our community.
Neighborhood Friends Kids
During our Sunday services you will see Neighborhood Friends Kids worshiping, praying, building friendships, and having fun. We have a thriving youth group for junior high and high school students. This is a snapshot of the ministry that happens in the children’s classrooms at Neighborhood Friends. Our mission is to partner with the Holy Spirit and families to help children discover, experience, and follow Jesus.
We also offer a children's ministry downstairs called 252 ministries where children gather to hear stories and learn about God
